The Master Gardener Program sponsors, and co-sponsors with other area agencies, events, workshops, nursery tours, and much more. See upcoming events below (subject to change):

  • Grow Your Own Kiwifruit: It’s Easier than you Think March 23, 2024 -- Learn to grow delicious, nutritious kiwi right here in your Pacific Northwest backyard.

  • Put Out the Welcome Mat: Attracting Hummingbirds April 3, 2024 – This presentation at the Vancouver Community Library will demonstrate how to create a garden that is a beacon for these amazing creatures.

  • Grow Your Own Strawberries April 13, 2024 -- There’s nothing better than a bowl of just-picked, sweet, juicy strawberries. Even better when they come from your own garden. Come learn how to grow strawberries at home.

  • Composting with Confidence April 18, 2024 – Learn the science of how and why compost works, and the amazing process of how it improves your soil and feeds your plants.

  • Introduction to Sustainable Landscaping April 18, 2024 -- This session for home gardeners will cover approaches to have a great yard while using fewer resources and improving habitat for birds, pollinators, and more.

  • GrowYour Own Herbs April 20, 2024 – Learn techniques to grow these wonderful plants to ensure just-picked freshness at home.

  • On the Road Tour – Spring Blooms April 23, 2024 -- Visit three specialty nurseries in Oregon. Transportation is provided and lunch will be on your own at a deli located at one of the sites. Pre-registration is required.

  • 78th Street Heritage Farm Walking Tours — coming soon! Join the WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardener Program for a guided tour of the 79-acre 78th Street Heritage Farm in Vancouver, Washington.
